So now that my choir season is over I have started rehearsals for a horrible-fun rendition of “Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat” that will be performed at Burning Flipside in May. Emerald is directing it and she and I and Audrey are singing the role of the narrator. It’s a lot of singing and a large cast and it’s extremely goofy and allows me some Rockstar moments which of course I eat up. It feels good to be a part of something silly and big. Emerald’s motto is “It doesn’t have to be good, it just has to be fun.” I can so get behind this. We had a narrators’ rehearsal last night and tonight is a full-cast rehearsal. Last week’s full cast rehearsal was the first and a happy surprise because all the boys who are singing the brothers’ parts are terribly enthusiastic, if not in tune! They dance around and holler “goat!” and “blue!” and are all super-cute. And of course, like all musicals, especially cheesy Andrew Lloyd-Webber ones, the music is insidious and fills my head day and night. Evil, but fun.

That is *awesome*. I’m expecting full documentation.

Yes, of course. I’m sure there will be photographic evidence of this atrocity as well as some badly shot video by some drunk guy. There’s even a cast party planned for afterwards “under the mushroom tower”. Ah, Burning events…
